I know many Indian Pointers use their cottage during the winter and enjoy all the activities that winter provides here on Balsam Lake. For the rest of us who thought this winter would never end and spring would never come, it is a relief to finally see the warmer weather arrive. The warmer weather also brings more traffic and more people walking, running, cycling on the road. Please respect the speed so that everyone can feel safe on the road.
For those of you, who get their drinking water tested, please note that water test kits can now be picked up and dropped off at the Coboconk Municipal Service Centre (9 Grandy Road) every Tuesday between 8:30am and 4:30pm. It is a free service for private well owners. Well water should be tested for bacteria such as Ecoli, three to four times a year. Finally support the Kawartha Lakes Stewards by becoming a member and help protect our lakes’ water quality. Check them out at www.klsa.wordpress.com .

The last event of the Indian Point Owners Association summer of 2019 is fast approaching. Don’t forget to sign up for the Wimpleton tennis tournament or come and watch the fun. We’ve enjoyed a busy July with the Picnic, Golf Tournament and two weeks of “camp” and kicked off August with fireworks and a record breaking donation to the Coboconk food bank. It’s time to get ready for tennis Centre Court August 24/25.
